Robert Reichel scored three goals, and rookie Andrei Trefilov posted his second consecutive shutout as the Calgary Flames beat the hapless Ottawa Senators, 10-0, Saturday night at Calgary.
Reichel scored twice in the first nine minutes, and the Flames led, 3-0, after the first period. After scoring four goals in the second period, the only drama that remained was to see whether Trefilov could hold on for the shutout. The goaltender made 21 saves, running his shutout streak to 122 minutes 21 seconds.
Washington 4, Quebec 0--Steve Konowalchuk scored his first two goals of the season and Don Beaupre made 24 saves for his first shutout at Quebec, sending the Nordiques to their sixth consecutive defeat.
The Nordiques have been shut out in three of their last five games and have scored only eight goals in their last six games.

New York Islanders 5, Chicago 5--Travis Green’s fluke goal with 6:45 to play in regulation capped the second comeback in the game for the Islanders, earning them a tie at Uniondale, N.Y.
Green had the puck behind the net and purposely banked it off the back of the leg of Chicago goaltender Ed Belfour for his 11th goal of the season.
Detroit 3, Boston 2--Ray Sheppard scored the first goal and assisted on the decisive one as the surging Red Wings beat the slumping Bruins at Boston.

Pittsburgh 4, Edmonton 3--Larry Murphy scored 17 seconds after Edmonton’s tying goal, giving the Penguins the victory at Pittsburgh.
Steve Rice had tied the score with a third-period power-play goal before Murphy’s shot from the right point deflected in off Edmonton defenseman Dave Manson.
