From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Former Defense Secretary Dick Cheney said he won’t run for Wyoming’s available U.S. Senate seat because he is still exploring a possible presidential bid in 1996. Cheney said he will spend 1994 campaigning for Republican candidates around the country and will make a final decision on the presidential race after the 1994 elections. Cheney, 52, had been mentioned as a possible Republican candidate for the seat of Sen. Malcolm Wallop, who will not seek reelection.
