FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Steve Bolton has resigned as football coach at Los Amigos High School and has been replaced by Roger Takahashi, Athletic Director Dave Auxier said Tuesday.
Bolton coached the Lobos the last three seasons and had a record of 16-15-2. After a winless first season, he led Los Amigos to the playoffs the last two seasons. He resigned because of personal reasons.
Takahashi has been an assistant for the Lobos the last two seasons. He was the head coach at La Quinta and had a record of 40-27. He led the Aztecs to the Southern Section Division VI championship game in 1989 and the Garden Grove League title in 1990.
