SBA Disaster Aid Still Available to Business Owners in Fire Areas

Federal Small Business Administration disaster assistance is still available to business owners in Southern California counties that were ravaged by firestorms in late October. Small-business owners in Orange County are among those eligible for loans of up to $1.5 million to help offset economic losses caused by the disaster.
“These are low-interest working capital loans designed to help businesses meet ongoing financial obligations,” said Mike Howland, SBA acting regional administrator in San Francisco. “The interest rate for these loans is 4% and the term may go as long as 30 years.”
Business owners can call the SBA at (800) 488-5323 or register for loans at the Disaster Application Center at 505 Forest Ave. in Laguna Beach.
