The city will welcome the holiday season tonight with a Christmas parade down Main Street.
More than 70 organizations ranging from local Boy Scout troops to the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station Color Guard are scheduled to march or drive down the business strip during the event, which begins at 7 p.m.
Baton twirlers, a dance troupe and a drill team are also expected to be on hand. Main Street will be closed to traffic beginning at 5 p.m. Many shops and restaurants will stay open into the night to accommodate parade-goers.
