GARDEN GROVE : Event Saturday Will Aid Needy Students

The Assistance League of Garden Grove will hold a luncheon, fashion show and silent auction Saturday to raise money for needy children in the Garden Grove Unified School District.
The program will be at 11 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Alicante hotel.
Among the projects that will be funded from the proceeds are:
* Operation School Bell, which supplies clothing to children from low-income families.
* Dental Center, which provides low-cost dental care to children of low-income families.
* Puppet Show, where Assistance League volunteers use puppets to teach proper dental care to second-graders.
* Garden Grove Bear Hug, which supplies teddy bears for children in traumatic circumstances.
* Annual scholarship, which provides financial assistance for a senior or a graduate of a local continuation high school.
