PREP ROUNDUP : Anaheim Girls Rally to Beat Los Amigos

Debbie Tu’ua scored 18 points as Anaheim beat Los Amigos, 36-33, in a nonleague girls’ basketball game Tuesday at Los Amigos.
Anaheim, coming off a winless season, had to outscore Los Amigos, 12-8, in the fourth quarter for the victory.
In the Western Sunbird Tournament:
Katella 74, Western 63--Robert Guzman and Nick Roditis scored 20 points each for Katella (1-0) in the first-round game. The victory was No. 499 for Tom Danley, who has been coach at the school since it opened in 1966. He has a career mark of 499-201.
In the Daily Pilot Tipoff boys’ basketball tournament:
Mater Dei 90, Brea-Olinda 21--Clay McKnight and Shaun Jackson had 21 points each and Miles Simon added 19 for Mater Dei (1-0), which led, 47-15, at the half.
In nonleague girls’ basketball:
Rosary 73, Valencia 49--Sophomore forward Kathleen Celio made her varsity debut by scoring 24 points, including 17 in the third quarter when Rosary broke the school record for most points in a quarter (38).
In girls’ nonleague soccer:
Edison 4, El Toro 2--Nicole Price, Laura Lamb, Erin Bailey and Shellee Stucker each scored a goal, and Kim James recorded seven saves to lead visiting Edison (1-0).
