OUTLOOK
The Wolverines become the newest basketball program in Orange County and face many of the hurdles a beginning team usually encounters. Among them is the task of finding opponents to play in January and February when other teams are right in the middle of league play. The leagueless Wolverines will be extremely busy in December, however, when they play six games and in three tournaments in 30 days. All but three games and the Orange tournament are against junior varsity teams. Goldstone is optimistic about the outlook of his team. He credits a strong freshman class and overall determination of the players to transfer into Aliso Viejo and start a new program. Bragassa and Valenti transferred from Capistrano Valley, and Campbell, Langan and Schafer from Dana Hills. Only Bragassa started for a junior varsity team last year. Goldstone thinks the two sophomores, Langan and Schafer, will be major contributors in the Wolverines’ inaugural season.
