Three Boys Reportedly Investigated in Death

PARIS — Three boys between 8 and 10 years old are under investigation in the death of a homeless man who died after being thrown down a well last month in a Paris suburb, radio France Info said Friday.
The radio, in an unsourced report, said the three boys clubbed and kicked the man, whose age was not known, before throwing him down the shaft.
The report came 48 hours after two 11-year-old boys were convicted in the murder of a 2-year-old in Britain in a case that shocked the world.
It said another homeless man who allegedly encouraged the boys was jailed pending trial for incitement, and yet another man who stood by during the killing was placed under investigation for failing to intervene.
