OUTLOOK
The Mustangs and Estancia are the consensus choices to battle for the title. If Trabuco Hills wins, it will be its third consecutive PCL championship, a feat that has never been achieved in boys’ basketball. Such an effort has to have a slogan. “Three-peat is taken,” Wulf said. “I don’t know. How about, “One More in ‘94?’ ” Could happen. Trabuco Hills has three of the league’s top returning players in Karnoff and Warnick, second-team all-league selections, and Uhl, an honorable mention pick. Fobbs, a transfer from Homestead High in Sunnyvale, is an extremely quick guard. Paisley was the MVP of the junior varsity team that tied Estancia for the league title. Punto, the teams’ only sophomore, will get some starts at point guard. Marvin, a shot-blocking specialist from the JV, is improving his offense. Add them all together, and its Wulf’s deepest team ever. “We have a lot of weapons on paper, but I don’t know if they all fire yet,” he said.
