Profits Surge 46% at Chad Therapeutics

Chad Therapeutics Inc., a Chatsworth maker of oxygen-conserving devices used by patients with respiratory problems, said its fiscal second-quarter profit surged 46% compared with a year earlier.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, Chad earned $513,291, up from $352,307 in the same period a year earlier. Sales in the latest quarter rose 70% to $2.48 million, from $1.46 million, as the company increased shipments domestically and globally, particularly to Germany and Japan.
For the six months ended Sept. 30, the company posted profits of $964,050, up 58% from $610,981 from a year earlier. Revenue for the six months totaled $4.54 million, up 69% from $2.69 million.
