In other Valley Pac-8 Conference games:
Birmingham 39, Grant 6--Junior running back Marvin Powell III scored four touchdowns as the host Braves (4-5-1, 2-4-1) erupted for their highest point total of the season and denied Grant (5-5, 3-4) a share of the Mid-Valley title.
Powell ran for 49 yards in 14 carries and scored on runs of one, three and nine yards. He also scored on a 69-yard pass from James Uline.
Junior quarterback Paul Prince completed five of eight passes for 199 yards and threw touchdown passes of 89 and 77 yards.
