Pintsak Leads Trabuco Hills to Victory Over Laguna Beach

LAGUNA BEACH — Trabuco Hills quarterback J.C. Pintsak completed all five of his pass attempts for 155 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Mustangs to a 49-21 Pacific Coast League victory over Laguna Beach Friday.
Following a scoreless first quarter, Trabuco Hills (7-3, 4-1)took a 21-0 lead in second quarter. Senior Jake Galasso took a handoff from Pintsak and scampered 10 yards for the first score. Pintsak came back throwing on the Mustangs’ next two possessions, hitting touchdown passes of 41 yards to Devin Martin and 45 yards to Matt Rechner.
Laguna Beach (2-8, 1-4) scored with 37 seconds left in the first half on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Pat Wood to Scott Kimball.
Six plays into the third quarter, Pintsak connected on passes of 19 and 22 yards to set up the next score. The Mustangs went ahead 28-7 when Bobby Johnson punched over from the one.
Laguna Beach cut the margin in half, 28-14, when Garrett Chesley capped a 58-yard, 14-play drive with a one-yard run.
Trabuco Hills answered with three quick touchdowns to lead, 49-14. Touchdown runs came on seven yards by Galasso, four yards by Kenny Adams and a 36-yard interception return by Rechner.
Laguna Beach closed its scoring on a 13-yard pass from Wood to Jeremy Sanico with 37 seconds left in the game.
Trabuco Hills’ balanced attack totaled 401 offensive yards, gaining 203 yards passing.
