Arcadia 13, Glendale 12--Junior running back Jon Shepherd scored the winning touchdown from 17 yards with 1 minute 45 seconds to play at Arcadia.
For the second consecutive week, Glendale (5-4, 1-3) missed a chance to win because its kicking game failed. A 48-yard field-goal attempt with 18 seconds to play fell short after a high snap from center. Glendale also missed a conversion kick after Jason Klintworth scored on a one-yard run in the first quarter.
Glendale’s Jay Register rushed 13 times for 67 yards and caught four passes for 104 yards, including a 57-yard scoring play from quarterback Neal Sowter.
