MOORPARK : Consultant May Look Over Housing Project
- Share via
The Moorpark City Council will consider taking its first official action on the proposed Messenger Investment Co. housing development Wednesday when it decides whether to hire a consultant to prepare an environmental impact report for the massive project.
The council will decide whether to hire Michael Brandman Associates of Camarillo to assess the environmental impacts of the developer’s plan to build 3,000 homes on 4,000 acres northeast of city limits.
If the council approves the contract, Mayor Paul Lawrason said, a draft report could be ready for public review by April.
The council has already scheduled a special joint session with the Planning Commission to review the Messenger proposal and to decide which versions of the project should be studied during the environmental review.
