NBA : Worthy Helps Lakers Shoot Down Clippers

LAS VEGAS — James Worthy made all nine of his shots from the field and scored 19 points Wednesday night, pacing the Lakers to a 119-99 victory over the Clippers in an exhibition game at the Thomas and Mack Center.
The Lakers took advantage of 31 turnovers by the Clippers.
Former Nevada Las Vegas star Dexter Boney had 16 points and Tony Smith and George Lynch each added 13 points for the Lakers. Elden Campbell added 12 points for the Lakers.
Danny Manning scored 29 points for the Clippers, making 10 of 15 shots from the field. Ron Harper added 13 points and was the only other Clipper to score in double figures.
The Lakers raced to a 39-27 lead after the first quarter and were never headed.
Loy Vaught led the Clippers with 11 rebounds. Antonio Harvey had seven rebounds to lead the Lakers.
