Carolyn Denny of Glendale was honored as the Business and Professional Women’s Woman of the Year for the Los Angeles Sunset District for helping to create business and financial opportunities for women.
Denny, owner of Denny & Co., a Glendale accounting firm, is active in a number of local organizations and established the Women Business Owners Conference and the National Assn. of Women Business Owners Scholarships.

Yeimei Wang of Glendale received the Woman of Achievement award from the Glendale chapter of Business and Professional Women.
Wang, professor of food and nutrition studies at Glendale Community College, was honored for her work at the college, which includes starting the culinary arts program, as well as her work in the community with the YWCA, the Tri-City Restaurant Assn. and the Glendale Assn. for the Retarded.

Anne Stanfield of Glendale will receive the Woman of Achievement award from the Verdugo Hills Business and Professional Women on Monday.
Stanfield, formerly a district manager for Equitable Financial Cos. in Pasadena, owns and manages Stanfield Insurance Services with her husband, Jim Stanfield.
Anne Stanfield is also active in community organizations, including the Glendale YWCA board of directors, and also founded the Glendale Gymnastics Club.
