Robbery Victim Is Fatally Shot

ANAHEIM — A man was killed during a robbery attempt near an apartment complex Saturday night, police said.
The unidentified victim was shot in the chest about 8:20 p.m. in a carport area behind a complex at 1781 W. Glencrest Ave., said Anaheim Police Sgt. Michael Zigmund. The victim managed to crawl to an apartment, where he asked for help before collapsing, Zigmund said.
He was taken to Anaheim Memorial Hospital and was later pronounced dead. Police did not give the age of the victim.
Police said the victim may have resisted his two male attackers during the robbery attempt.
