Youth, 17, Shot to Death in North Hills Carport

NORTH HILLS — A 17-year-old youth was shot to death in the carport of an apartment in the 15500 block of Nordhoff Street early Friday morning, police said.
Officers answering a call at 4:43 a.m. found the body with multiple gunshot wounds in the upper torso.
No suspects were in custody and the motive was unknown, according to a statement released by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Detectives identified the victim only as a Latino and were withholding further details, Sgt. J.J. Thompson said.
