THOUSAND OAKS : Panic to Speak About Yugoslavia’s Future

The former prime minister of Yugoslavia will speak about the future of his war-torn homeland based on his recent Eastern European travels at an Oct. 11 lecture at Cal Lutheran University.
Milan Panic, who led Yugoslavia from July, 1992, to March of this year, will discuss current events and international relations in the address at the Preus-Brandt Forum.
Panic will be available to answer questions following the lecture. A brief reception will be held in the forum after his address.
Panic immigrated to the U.S. in 1956, settling in California where he worked as a research assistant in the department of chemistry at USC. In 1960, he founded ICN Pharmaceuticals, which now oversees three subsidiaries.
Panic became a U.S. citizen in 1963, but he returned to govern Yugoslavia in 1992 with the goal of bringing peace.
