USC, 1-2 after losing to Penn State on Saturday, 21-20, is idle this weekend. The Trojans play Washington State on Sept. 25 at the Coliseum.
Washington State opened with a 41-14 loss at Michigan, defeated Montana State at home last Saturday, 54-14, and plays Oregon State at home Saturday.

USC plays at Penn State again next season, on Sept. 10, closing out its four-game 1990s series with the Nittany Lions.
USC and Penn State were also scheduled to play in 1995, ‘96, ’97 and ‘98, but those games were canceled when Penn State moved into the Big Ten Conference.
