Medical Software Package: ComputerBooks in Newport Beach said Monday it has created a medical software package designed to run on Apple Computer Inc.’s Newton MessagePad, a hand-held computer also known as a personal digital assistant.
The software provides doctors and other medical professionals with instant access to a small library of specialized medical knowledge.
While making rounds in a hospital, a physician can verify pharmaceutical data and drug interactions, as well as keep data on patients and schedules.
