Kansas Governor Won’t Run for Reelection

TOPEKA, Kan. — Gov. Joan Finney, a Democrat, announced Friday that she will not seek reelection next year. The state’s first woman governor said she believes her agenda on education, health care and the economy is too important to take the time needed to campaign.
