Northridge Man Shot to Death at Beach

A Northridge man was fatally shot early Sunday as he strolled along the beach with his cousin, police said.
Luis Soto and his cousin were walking along Will Rogers State Beach just outside Santa Monica about 2:45 a.m. when someone drove up and fired several rounds at the pair, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Bill Hart said.
Soto, 21, was struck several times in the upper chest and died moments later, Hart said. His cousin was uninjured.
Hart said no motive is known for the attack.
