GM Will Not Raise Prices on 1993 Models: General Motors Corp. has announced that it will not raise its car and truck prices for the rest of the 1993 model year, which ends in September. The move is consistent with GM’s recent actions to make some of its aging models more attractive through lower prices. Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler Corp. have raised prices on popular models within the last month. GM earlier raised the price of its popular Saturn car and a few other models.
