Keating Sentencing Delayed: The federal court sentencing of former Lincoln Savings & Loan operator Charles H. Keating Jr. on his racketeering, conspiracy and fraud convictions has been delayed until July 8. The sentencing, originally scheduled for next Monday, was postponed to give prosecutors and defense attorneys more time to respond to a confidential pre-sentencing report filed last week by the U.S. probation office. The sentencing of Keating’s son, Charles H. Keating III, was delayed until July 23.
