Ventura County residents may have up to five fine-art objects evaluated Friday at an event organized by the Ventura County Museum of History & Art.
Representatives of Butterfield and Butterfield International Fine Art Auctioneers of Los Angeles will be on hand to do appraisals.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. at the museum, located at 100 East Main St. in Ventura.
Professional appraisers qualified to assign monetary values to a variety of items will assess objects including prints, paintings, jewelry, furniture and silver. Visitors may bring photographs of large items.
Each appraisal costs $5 and there is a $10 registration fee for non-members of the museum. All proceeds will benefit the museum.
