COUNTYWIDE : Used Shoes Sought for the Homeless
- Share via
Dig into your closet and get out those old shoes, because the Orange County Podiatric Medical Assn. is holding its second shoes-for-the-homeless drive.
The association is working with the Episcopal Service Alliance, an agency that assists the homeless, to distribute donated shoes to the needy.
The goal is to collect thousands of reusable shoes in good condition, which will be distributed Wednesday at the agency’s countywide shelters.
Shoes may be dropped off at any Orange County Podiatric Medical Assn. member’s office or at the Walking Store at MainPlace/Santa Ana or South Coast Plaza.
The association’s members, dedicated to the care of the foot and ankle, recognize the need of proper footwear to avoid the risk of injury and disease.
For details on the nearest shoe drop-off place, call (714) 525-0385.
