A team of former NBA players, playing without Magic Johnson, was defeated by the Dutch national team at Den Bosch, Netherlands, 139-138. The defeat was the first for the Americans on a European exhibition tour.
Johnson has decided to play only once in each of the three countries on the 11-game tour.
