Car Crash Closes Laguna Canyon Road

LAGUNA BEACH — Traffic in both directions on Laguna Canyon Road had to be diverted for several hours Thursday night after an electric pole was knocked down near a portion of the road known as “big bend,” police said.
No one in the car that hit the pole was injured, police said. The accident occurred just before 8 p.m.
The road was expected to be closed from El Toro Road to Coast Highway until past midnight, police said.
