CS Northridge Reschedules Rained-Out Games With UCSB

Cal State Northridge added two games to its baseball schedule, making up nonconference games that were rained out in February.
The Matadors will play UC Santa Barbara of the Big West Conference May 7 at 3 p.m. and May 8 at 1 p.m. at Matador Field.
Softball
Pitcher Nancy Evans of Hoover High was named state athlete of the week by Cal-Hi Sports.
Evans led the Tornadoes to the championship of the Orange Glen tournament, striking out 16 in a 6-1 victory over El Camino of Oceanside in the title game.
In her earlier tournament games, she struck out 18, 19 and 18--including five batters in one inning.
Miscellany
The Southern Section has empowered school administrators to reschedule any events that jeopardize fans or players as a result of civil unrest following the verdicts in the trials of Reginald O. Denny and Rodney G. King.
The Southern California Regional basketball finals will be held at Anaheim Arena next season.
Track
The Cal State Northridge women’s team (10-2) is third in the California-Nevada dual-meet rankings. The Matador men (10-4) are fifth.
