Sheik’s Followers and N.Y. Bombing

Satloff’s advice concerning the N.Y. bombing “to stay on course” in suppressing terrorism and supporting our Mideast policies is well-taken.
Israel, like the U.S., has tried to suppress these terrorist elements with democratic means. Arabs are represented in the Israeli government and enjoy the protections of the courts and laws. Jews have been jailed for attacking Arabs.
When Arab terrorists attack innocent civilians or threaten Israel’s security, how are they treated? They are sometimes jailed without a trial when the numbers get so large as to create a judicial delay. Sometimes their houses are destroyed as punishment. Sometimes the worse ones are deported. Sometimes they are imprisoned for life if convicted of murder.
How are Arab extremists and terrorists treated in Islamic countries? Most of the time they are rounded up, tortured for information, then imprisoned in subhuman conditions or killed.
What thanks does Israel receive for its relative leniency toward Arab extremists and terrorists? Condemnation for deporting about 400 leaders of the Hamas organization, which is pledged to the destruction of Israel and to the defeat of “The Great Satan,” the United States. There’s no world condemnation of Islamic nations, only of Israel.
