Junior Randy Hines pitched a no-hitter for seven innings to lead the Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team to a 10-0 victory over Metro State on Wednesday at Carson.
Hines (1-0) struck out 11 in seven-plus innings and didn’t give up a hit until Metro State (5-15) second baseman Art Villa led off the eighth with a single.
Hines was relieved by Tony Velasquez and Tod West, who combined to pitch two hitless innings.
Toro senior outfielder Corey Woinarowicz extended his hitting streak to 22 games.
Dominguez Hills (18-10) will play Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in a three-game series starting Friday.
