BIRD MAN: Celtic music fans can get a fix tonight with the Boys of the Lough at Saddleback College (F25). . . . But band member Dave Richardson expects to satisfy his own passion while here. The avid bird watcher has packed binoculars and field guide for a trek to the wetlands of Bolsa Chica and Upper Newport Bay. Identifying the sandpipers and other small shorebirds is a favorite challenge for the Scottish resident. “Those are real mind-benders,” says Richardson.
