Chrysler to Produce Natural Gas Minivan: Chrysler Corp. said it will begin producing a natural gas-powered minivan next year that will have emissions nearly as low as electric vehicles but performance equal to gasoline-fueled cars. California has mandated that by 1998, 2% of all new car sales in the state be of electric-powered or zero-emission vehicles. The number of minivans to be produced is not yet determined, but they will be sold only to government agencies and utilities.
