McDonald’s Hit Helps Cypress Win, 12-11

Keith McDonald’s two-run single in the ninth inning gave Cypress a 12-11 victory over College of the Desert in the Riverside tournament Sunday in Palm Desert.
Greg Tippen hit a three-run home run to cap a six-run fourth for Cypress (8-2), which took an 8-1 lead. But Desert rallied to tie the score with seven runs in the fourth.
Desert scored three runs in the eighth to take an 11-8 lead before Cypress got four in the ninth.
