A SILVER LINING: Heavy rains this winter brought good and bad news to local parks. . . . Many hiking and mountain bike trails are closed until mudslide damage can be repaired. But those same showers also have nourished the landscape. In fact, this spring will probably be one of the best on record for wildflowers. “Every stream in every park is running,” says regional parks manager Tim Miller. “Everything is so lush and green.”
