GARDEN GROVE — The body of an unidentified man about 30 years old was found early Sunday in a large trash bin at the rear of a commercial strip just west of Harbor Boulevard, police said.
A man scavenging for aluminum called police about 8:54 a.m. after discovering the body behind a business at 11743 Cardinal St., Sgt. Mike Handfield said. The victim appeared to have head injuries, Handfield said.
An autopsy was scheduled for today.
The victim was described as about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair, Handfield said. A check of the state’s computerized fingerprint records did not yield the identity of the man, who carried no identification, he said.
