Hycor Gets FDA OK on Test Kit

GARDEN GROVE —  Hycor Biomedical Inc., a manufacturer of medical diagnostic kits, said Thursday that it has obtained approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market a new allergy test kit.

The new kit reduces from 24 hours to four hours the time required for results on tests to determine causes of allergic reactions. Its approval gives Hycor Biomedical, based in Garden Grove, a greater competitive edge in the United States and Europe, the company said.
