Glendale : Weapons Awareness Effort
To ensure campus safety, John Marshall High School has started a program to alert teachers and staff members to students carrying weapons on campus.
In the “We Tip to Stay Alive” program, started by Marshall’s school-based management council of teachers and parents, any student who sees a weapon on campus is encouraged to inform a teacher or staff member, and is guaranteed anonymity. Investigating administrators will not even ask who the reporting students are.
Teachers will be asked to discuss the program with students when the new semester starts Tuesday.
Information regarding weapons can be reported by calling Principal Deborah Leidner or school police at (213) 660-1440.
