GARDEN GROVE : 5 Students to Vie in Speech Contest

Five students from local high schools will compete today at noon in a speech contest sponsored by the Rotary Club of Garden Grove.
The speakers, who already have won at their high schools, are Seth Rodriquez, Bolsa Grande; Persida Brasov, Garden Grove; Cindy Le, La Quinta; Heather Huttner, Santiago, and Alina Palomino, Los Amigos.
The topic for the speeches is “Happiness From Helping Others.”
The contest will be at the Elks Club at Newhope Street and Trask Avenue.
Today’s winner will go on to districtwide competition and have a chance to win $575.
