Balkanization

Seeing as how the Balkanization of the Los Angeles school district has become such a popular topic, why must we stop there? Let’s just get to the point, broaden the scope of these plans, really “reinvent government,” and address the breakup of those even more monolithic, debt-ridden, unmanageable and embattled entities: the city and county of Los Angeles, and state of California.
Long live the Federal Republic of the San Fernando Valley!
