The Dallas Cowboys made line coach Butch Davis defensive coordinator, replacing Dave Wannstedt, now head coach of the Chicago Bears. The Cowboys also made offensive coordinator Norv Turner assistant head coach, replacing Wannstedt.
Offensive line coach Tony Wise, who will leave the Cowboys to join Wannstedt, will be replaced by Hudson Houch, Seattle’s offensive line coach.
Bob Slowik, the Cowboys’ secondary coach, also will join Wannstedt, along with San Jose State Coach Ron Turner. Turner, brother of Norv Turner, will become the Bears’ offensive coordinator.
