AGENCY PIONEER: In 1938, Harry Jackson paid $150 for what is now Orange County’s oldest travel agency and the largest that is family-run. World Travel continues to be run out of its original downtown Santa Ana office, with only child Tom Jackson, above, at the helm of a firm that did $25 million in travel arrangements last year, down from $30 million in 1991. . . . Jackson says: “I wrote my first ticket in 1948 to Catalina, and I was 9 years old.”
