Paul Conrad’s Retirement

The news that Conrad will be retiring filled me with elation! Rather than impart understanding or insight, Conrad used his forum to eke out his petty biases and partisan viewpoints, and to repeatedly attack those with whom he disagreed. While I cheer Conrad’s departure, I regret he is not laying down his pen entirely and that his cartoons will still appear in The Times.

Editor’s note: Although Paul Conrad will be formally retiring from The Times at the end of March, he will continue to draw syndicated cartoons, at a reduced frequency, and The Times will be running them twice a week, along with the works of other cartoonists.
