PREP ROUNDUP : Kennedy Shuts Out Buena Park in Boys’ Soccer

Rolando Gonzalez had two saves for his second shutout and also scored a goal on a penalty kick as Kennedy beat Buena Park, 3-0, in a nonleague boys’ soccer match Friday at Kennedy.
Ryan Bean and Seung Lee also scored for Kennedy (2-0-1), which led, 2-0, at the half. Gonzalez’s goal came in the second half.
In other nonleague boys’ soccer:
Santa Margarita 5, Marina 0--Sophomore Seth George scored two goals for the Eagles. Santa Margarita is 2-0.
Capistrano Valley 2, Huntington Beach 1--Scott Shone and Brooke Humphrey scored one apiece for Capistrano Valley (1-1).
La Quinta 4, Savanna 3--Pat Ferry and Jim Carbajal scored two goals each for host La Quinta (1-0).
Sonora 11, El Monte Mountain View 1--Walter Jenkins scored three second-half goals for host Sonora (1-1).
Ocean View 4, Estancia 2--Defender Brian Engesser scored the tying and winning goals for Ocean View (1-0) at nine and 24 minutes into the second half. Ocean View, which has won the last 20 consecutive games, rallied from a 2-0 deficit against Estancia (0-2).
In girls’ nonleague soccer:
Orange Lutheran 3, Western Christian 0--Brooke Parkinson, Amy Ward and Shanna Johnson scored the goals for host Orange Lutheran.
Capistrano Valley 2, Esperanza 1--Renee Parker scored the winning goal after taking a pass from Lindsey Light late in the second period. Capistrano Valley is 1-0.
