Orange Lutheran Wins, Advances to Finals of Own Tournament

ORANGE — Chad Reed scored 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Jeff Courvoisier added 23 points as Orange Lutheran defeated Orange, 75-72, in overtime to advance to Saturday’s Orange Lutheran Tournament championship game against Pacifica.
Orange Lutheran (2-0) outscored Orange (1-1), 11-8, in the extra period after the Panthers had tied the score, 64-64, with 1:12 left on a David Neal basket. Neal led the Panthers with 21 points.
In the other semifinal, Pacifica’s Chris Vlasic scored 22 points as the Mariners came from behind to defeat Magnolia, 63-58. Vlasic’s basket with 32 seconds left gave Pacifica a 59-58 lead, and the Mariners made four consecutive free throws to clinch the victory.
Aaron Williams scored 19 points for Magnolia (1-1).
