Duarte 31, Sante Fe 28--Despite a solid effort by Sante Fe running back Willie Kaholokula, who gained 111 in 11 carries in the second half, the Falcons (12-0) held on to a win a close game at Whittier Pioneer High.
The Falcons, holding a 31-28 lead late in the game, held off a Santa Fe rally for the Divison VI semifinal victory. Sante Fe (10-3), failed to score after moving the ball to the Duarte two-yard line with one minute remaining.
