HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL / SOUTHERN SECTION PLAYOFFS : Esperanza Stifles Muir for Victory in Division II

Anaheim Esperanza (12-1) held Pasadena Muir (11-2) to two first downs and 13 yards of offense in recording a 28-7 victory Friday night in a Southern Section Division II semifinal at Placentia Valencia High.
Running backs Dahrin Footman, who had 139 yards in 25 carries, and Bill Ross (108 yards in 20 carries) scored two touchdowns each for Esperanza.
The Aztecs held Muir running back Salidin McCullough, who averaged 178 yards coming into the game, to minus-one yard in eight carries.
