The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between May 4 and May 10:
Glendale
East Broadway, 1200 block--A classroom at John Marshall Elementary School was ransacked, numerous windows were broken and some sports equipment was stolen between May 1 and May 4.
Verdugo Road and Towne Street--A man leaving Glendale College at 11:10 p.m. May 5 was assaulted by four men and robbed of $1 in change.
East Garfield Avenue, 300 block--A Molotov cocktail was reportedly thrown through a window of a home that was occupied by five people at 12:50 a.m. May 6, but the device did not explode.
Adams Street and Lomita Avenue--At 9:30 p.m. May 7, a man walking on the sidewalk was punched in the stomach by a large man, who robbed him of $50 cash as he lay on the ground.
South Jackson Street, 100 block--A couple reported that a burglar had entered their apartment through an open window between 2 and 6 a.m. and had stolen a purse, wallet, a set of keys and their car, which was later impounded by Glendale Police after it was involved in a hit-and-run accident.
San Fernando Road, 3800 block--A man making a bank deposit was robbed of $4,000 in cash by another man who pointed a weapon at him at 1:25 p.m. May 8.
El Miradero Avenue, 1400 block--A table saw and air compressor, valued together at $550, were stolen from an open garage between noon and 6:30 p.m. May 9.
North Glendale Avenue, 200 block--A female nightclub patron reported that her purse, containing $320 in cash and credit cards, was stolen on the night of May 10.
La Canada Flintridge
Foothill Boulevard, 600 block--The owner of Jundt’s Pharmacy reported that $5,000 was taken from an office safe between April 28 and May 4.
Flintridge Avenue, 800 block--A lawn mower and hedge cutter valued together at $1,000 and other household goods were stolen from a garage between April 30 and May 2.
La Crescenta
Alabama Street, 2700 block--Jewelry valued at $9,650 was stolen from an unlocked home between May 7 and 10.
Atwater
Glendale Boulevard and San Fernando Road--Tools valued at $10,000 were stolen from a vehicle between 5 and 5:40 a.m. May 4.
Glendale Boulevard and Seneca Avenue--A thief ran up to a person on a street and made off with bags containing money and jewelry, valued at $4,940, at 3:30 a.m. May 10.
Eagle Rock
Colorado Boulevard, 2700 block--A thief apparently picked the lock of a showcase in a jewelry store and fled with merchandise valued at $6,000 between 10:10 and 11:15 a.m. May 10.
Echo Park
West Sunset Boulevard, 1600 block--A person on the street was punched, kicked and stabbed with a knife by three men, and then robbed of a wallet containing $5 at 1:05 a.m. May 8.
Avenue 26 and Figueroa Street--A person at a gas station was robbed at gunpoint of $75 and a pager at 2:40 a.m. May 8.
Elysian Park and Scott avenues--A person in a parked car was robbed at gunpoint of money and jewelry valued at $1,120 at 2:40 a.m. May 9 by four men.
Glassell Park
Blake Avenue, 1900 block--Clocks valued at $4,410 were stolen from a business between May 1 and 4.
San Fernando Road, 2100 block--Two men robbed a fast-food restaurant clerk of $300 at 10:10 a.m. May 10.
Highland Park
York Boulevard, 4700 block--Tools valued at $835 were stolen from an apartment at 10:30 a.m. May 6.
North Avenue 55, 1800 block--Burglars removed louvered windows to enter a home and made off with video equipment valued at $600 at 6:15 p.m. May 5.
Figueroa Street and Avenue 26--A motorist at a gas station was held at knifepoint by a man and a woman and robbed of $310 and his vehicle at 8:45 p.m. May 5.
Avenue 50 and Figueroa Street--At 10:50 p.m. May 7, three men and two women forced a person in a car to stop the vehicle so they could get in, then forced the motorist to drive two blocks, and robbed the victim of money and jewelry valued together at $1,430.
Terrace 49, 800 block--Cameras, equipment and a stereo valued at $3,935 were stolen from a home between 10 and 11 p.m. May 7.
Myosotis and Figueroa streets--A motorist was robbed of $100 at gunpoint by two men at 11:40 p.m. May 8.
Myosotis Street, 6100 block--A person delivering a pizza was robbed of $64 and a pizza after three men threatened the victim with a crowbar at 11:30 p.m. May 8.
Mt. Washington
San Rafael Avenue, 3900 block--Cameras and equipment valued at $1,730 were stolen from an unlocked classroom at Mt. Washington Elementary School between noon and 12:25 p.m. May 5.
Silver Lake
North Silver Lake Boulevard, 1600 block--Two men robbed a liquor store clerk at gunpoint, and fled with $250 cash at 4:10 p.m. May 8.
Hamilton Way, 3300 block--Burglars forced a window of an apartment open and stole a stereo and recorded music valued at $2,370 on May 8 or 9.
